About our Company

Brittany Construction Inc. was founded in 1995 by Douglas E. Bennett. Doug graduated from Purdue University, with a degree in Construction in 1985. After graduation he was employed by Shiel Sexton Company, as a Project Manager for the next ten years.

A combination of knowledge obtained thru education as well as the years of experience in the Construction Industry have produced the work ethic and standards that Brittany Construction is recognized by.

Since its inception, Brittany Construction completes several hundred projects each year, varying in size from a few hundred dollars up to a million. The list of projects vs. customers shows a “repeat” customer ratio of 78%.

Brittany Construction’s purpose is to provide value and confidence to our customers, while maintaining profitability, focusing on the welfare of all those included in the construction process and providing a service that is unsurpassed.

Construction as a whole, has seemingly been reduced to the lowest bidder. Although we may not be or use the lowest bidder, we concentrate on quality, and owner’s confidence. Our goal is to provide a completely satisfying construction process in a cost effective manner. Quality and owner’s confidence will not suffer to save pennies.

Since inception, Brittany Construction has had

  • No Loss Time Accidents
  • No OSHA Violations
  • No Legal Litigation

Brittany Construction has been a stable contractor. Growth is always a desire but growth must be controlled. With that said, we will only grow if it can be done without sacrificing our reputation.

 To whom it may concern,

My name is Joel Parks and I am the Director of Facility Implementation for OHL. OHL is a third party logistics provider performing warehousing and distribution for companies such as Apple, Starbucks, DSW Shoe Warehouse, Wal-Mart and Target. We were recently awarded the U.S. internet distribution for H&M, which is a clothing company based in Sweden.

We determined that we would run the H&M distribution from one of our facilities located in Plainfield, IN. The construction budget for the project was $1,568,000 and included the construction of offices, a large break room, gang warehouse bathrooms, several remote buildings, dock equipment, lighting upgrades, access control, additional parking, landscaping, etc.

The landlord, Prologis, recommended that we use Brittany Construction for the facility build out. I was a little apprehensive as I had never used Brittany for any of our facility work. I met with the owner, Doug Bennett, and was immediately put at ease. Doug was extremely knowledgeable and all about making sure the OHL was 100% satisfied with the end product. I have been in the construction industry for 27 years and hold my own general contractor’s license and have been involved in numerous projects during that time. This project went as smoothly as any project that I can remember. The major reason for this was that Doug and his team were fully engaged from beginning to end. They were extremely proactive asking all of the right questions before commencing with the work. If they needed clarification along the way, they paused, got the answer and then performed the work expeditiously.

This project actually came in on time and about $4,000 under budget. The main reason for this was that Brittany Construction paid close attention to the details along the way. I would have absolutely no hesitation using Brittany Construction for any of my future projects or recommending them for others to engage for their construction needs.

In our industry it is difficult to find a general contractor with high ethics and a keen awareness of time, budget, and quality; however, we have been fortunate enough to find such a contractor in Doug Bennett of Brittany Construction. We have worked with Doug for many years on numerous projects, large and small and he is always within budget and completes the jobs well within the allotted time frame. Doug is very responsive in getting bids to us not only for projects in our Indianapolis market but has extended his services to our Louisville market as well. We can depend on Doug to work very well with our customers, keeping them informed and meeting their expectations.

Dear Mr. Bennett:

I wanted to thank you personally for the work Brittany Construction performed for Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana at our facility located on 2900 North Shadeland Avenue. As you know, we were under a tight timeframe to move into this facility with some major renovations that needed completion. Your work crew was exceptional. Not only did the quality of their work exceed our expectations, but their commitment to the deadline was much appreciated.

I would be happy to recommend Brittany Construction General Contractors to others needing commercial and tenant finishing work.

Best Regards,

Kevin M. Meier, Director of Business Development
Retail Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana

Faced with an incredibly time sensitive schedule, Brittany Construction delivered our project on-time and at budget. Yet, their attention to detail and finish left us with nothing but compliments on an outstanding office. Oh, how I do enjoy receiving compliments for their work!

Doug Bennett and the folks at Brittany Construction have helped Don Prudhomme Racing immensely in turning our vision into reality with their efforts for building new projects within our racing operations facility.

Brittany Construction’s ability to take direction, keen eye for detail and timely completion of our highly specialized dyno-room project, as well as our interior professional offices, have made them a valuable asset in our construction efforts and an organization that we will continue to utilize for any future construction needs.

We highly recommend using Brittany Construction, not only for startup building projects, but for any renovation or interior design needs as well.

Skip Allum, General Manager
Don Prudhomme Racing

Brittany Construction did excellent work in a timely manner and never once postponed the job. They remodeled a 25,000 sq ft warehouse into a State-of-the-Art Collision Center in less than 6 weeks from start to finish. They worked with the City Zoning Board, Inspectors, and Fire Marshall and took a lot off our hands. I would recommend them to anyone and I know that we would definitely use them again. Doug Bennett the Owner of Brittany Construction is a stand up person that honors his commitments and stands behind his work 100%.

I would believe that anyone that toured our facility would see a WOW!!! Factor and that is all attributed to the Team of Brittany Construction.
